Comic book biography of Andy Warhol arrives in Italy

On January 17, Andy - The Facts and the Fable, the comic book biography focusing on Andy Warhol, arrives in all bookstores. Created by Dutch artist Typex, the graphic novel is an account of the Pop art genius’ life, from his difficult childhood to his artistic success, all told in 10 chapters, each preceded by a mock “sticker sheet” listing the cast and focusing on a period in the artist’s life. The cut of the pages is painted in mirrored silver and the shape of the cover recalls the Brillo detergent boxes made immortal by Warhol himself.

The drawings in the comic are done in the style Warhol used for illustrations in the specific period. The book has a total of 592 pages. The result of five years of work, the volume has already been taken to numerous countries and will be published in Italy by Bao Publishing. It can already be reserved on the publisher’s website.
