Colorno palace flooded, damage worth millions of euros

The most significant damage affected the inner courtyard, totally invaded by water and mud, the cellars that house the premises of the Alma cooking school, and the municipal library (several books were damaged). While work continues to get the Reggia back up and running, questions are being asked in Colorno about the causes that led to the flooding of the Parma River, with the flood reaching a record level of 9.49 meters, never before recorded. The region has allocated a fund of two million euros to solve emergencies and kick-start emergency interventions. Fortunately, the flood, while causing extensive damage and inconvenience, and forcing several families to leave their homes, did not cause any casualties.
