Botticelli's Venus on display in Georgia


Botticelli's Venus kept in the Royal Museums in Turin will be transferred to Georgia for an exhibition. An entire room will be dedicated to her.

The beautiful Venus, a masterpiece created by Sandro Botticelli that belongs to the collection of the Royal Museums of Turin, will go to Georgia to be exhibited from Oct. 4 to Nov. 30 at the National Museum Gallery in Tbilisi.

The work will be the protagonist of an exhibition in the Georgian Gallery and will be placed in a room entirely dedicated to her with a special arrangement.



Botticelli’s Venus has become an ambassador of Italian culture in the world, and the move to Georgia is due to the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the re-establishment of Italian-Georgian diplomatic relations.

Before the departure, it is possible to admire the work until September 28 at the Pinacoteca Sabauda.
