Big news for Trento's Buonconsiglio Castle

Trento's Buonconsiglio Castle is preparing for big news: opening of new exhibition halls, multimedia stations, 3D reconstructions, new logo.

This year, the Buonconsiglio Castle in Trento will be subject to major changes: in addition to a new logo and graphics, the castle will be enriched with new exhibition rooms in Castelvecchio, where disassembly work has begun, as instead of the lapidarium and the Egyptian section, which will probably be moved to a permanent exhibition, new rooms dedicated to the history of Trentino’s population and archaeology will find space.

The rooms dedicated to population history will be a sort of time machine: art objects and videos will tell the story of Trentino from its origins to World War I.
A room dedicated to Cesare Battisti, a geographer, journalist, historian and Europeanist politician, will also be opened.
Thirteenth-century-medieval collections will then be on display in Castelvecchio, while Renaissance works will be on display in Magno Palazzo and Baroque works in the Albertian Junta.
There will be a 3-D reconstruction of the Castle’s evolutionary phases, maps, multimedia stations and a large interactive model of the city of Trent.
