The artistic directors of Cinema, Dance, Music and Theater of the Venice Biennale for the four-year period 2021-2024 have been appointed. Alberto Barbera was confirmed as director of Cinema, Wayne McGregor was appointed as director of Dance, Lucia Ronchetti was appointed as director of Music, and finally Stefano Ricci and Gianni Forte were appointed as directors of Theater.

Lucia Ronchetti (Rome, 1963) will be a lecturer in composition at the Ferienkurse in Darmstadt and Visiting Professor of Composition at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt. In 2021, Oper Frankfurt will produce the new opera Inferno. The chamber opera Pinocchios Abenteuer will be presented by Staatsoper Unter den Linden Berlin and in a new production at Oper Frankfurt. In 2015 came their encounter with the world of opera. This year they conceived, wrote, conducted and directed Hic Sunt Leones, a five-part program for Rai3.
