Opened in 2013, Leonardo3 Museum will be on view through 2020.
Located in Milan’s Piazza Scala, with entrance from Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, Leonardo’s World is an exhibition that allows the public to discover Leonardo da Vinci the artist and inventor, thanks to never-before-seen reconstructions of his machines and restorations of his paintings.
The Mechanical Submarine, the Time Machine, the Mechanical Dragonfly, and the Flying Machine of Milan are joined by the digital restoration of the Last Supper and the reconstruction of the Sforza Monument: just some of the contents of an innovative exhibition, even in the way it is enjoyed.
Visitors can interact firsthand, thanks to multimedia experiences, with Leonardo’s machines, artworks and codices.
More than 200 interactive 3-D reconstructions are on view, and the museum is accessible to all types of visitors.
Audio guides are available in eight languages (Chinese, French, English, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and German).
In addition to the patronage of the City of Milan, Leonardo 3 has been awarded the Representative Award of the President of the Republic and is an institutional member of ICOM(International Council of Museums).
