Baths of Caracalla by night: evening guided tours of the Baths of Caracalla, one of the largest and best-preserved bath complexes of antiquity, are back again this year. These were in fact built at the behest of Caracalla in the southern area of the city of Rome.
This year the evening tour will particularly focus on the underground, driving part of the thermal complex. In addition to the musealized section, the public will be able to visit Fabrizio Plessi’s exhibition The Secret of Time, Michelangelo Pistoletto ’s Mela Reintegrata and the Mithraeum, for a journey between the ancient and the contemporary of great beauty.
Evening visits to the Thermae Antoninianae are scheduled every Friday and Sunday from August 23 to September 29, 2019 according to the following times:
visits in Italian 8 p.m., 8:30 p.m., 8:45 p.m., 9:15 p.m., 9:30 p.m;
visits in English at 8:15 pm and 9 pm.
