At last, MiBACT has realized that it is important to survey data. Here is the questionnaire on museums

It took some time, but they finally understood at the Ministry of Cultural Heritage that, in order to better manage museums, as much data as possible is needed. The General Directorate of Museums is therefore promoting an in-depth online survey to understand the public’s expectations with respect to the cultural offerings that museums could develop, while complying with period safety regulations. In addition, the questionnaire also aims to understand the orientation of visitors with respect to digital solutions, to be conveyed through the web, social media, or thanks to specially developed apps.

The questionnaire is available on the Google Docs platform and was developed by Professor Ludovico Solima, professor of Tourism and Cultural Heritage and Cultural Enterprise Management at the University of Campania, and Professor Annalisa Cicerchia, professor of Business Economics and Management at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. The survey aims to understand some basic data to learn about audience behavior: how often people visit a museum during the year, what reasons they go to the museum, what they expect to find, how important online initiatives are, whether it is right to change the ticket price, and so on.

The questionnaire is anonymous and all responses are protected, MiBACT points out, by the strictest statistical secrecy, in compliance with privacy regulations.
