Artonauts back on newsstands: new album explores emotions and colors in art

The sixth mission of the Artonauts arrives March 28, taking children and adults on a journey through colors and emotions in art. An adventure that challenges artificial intelligence while enhancing human sensibility. Available at newsstands and online, with regular and premium albums.

The mission restarts. The Artonauts return to newsstands with a new album, ready to transport little collectors-and their parents-on a journey through the colors and emotions of art. The sixth adventure in the successful series will be available March 28, bringing with it 57 masterpieces to discover, complete and collect.

After exploring the wonders of the Renaissance, the secrets of mythology, ancient civilizations and timeless masterpieces, the new edition focuses on the link between art and emotions. A journey that spans centuries of history and creativity, demonstrating how painters and sculptors have captured passions, feelings and moods with the power of color and form.

A journey beyond the algorithm

The album opens with an unprecedented challenge: Ale, Morgana, 00Setter and Wizart, the protagonists of the Artonauts adventures, must confront Eureka, an artificial intelligence capable of analyzing and classifying works of art with impressive speed. But is it enough to know titles, dates and artistic currents to understand a masterpiece? The answer is no.

Eureka knows everything, but feels nothing. She can recognize a Caravaggio painting, contextualize it and describe it accurately, but she cannot get excited by its contrasts of light and shadow. He does not know what it means to be enraptured by the madness of Van Gogh or the vividness of a Kandinsky painting. Ale and Morgana know this well, and with them the children who will leaf through the album, knowing that art is more than information: it is experience, awe, empathy.

An album that unites generations

As in previous editions, Artonauts is confirmed as a project that goes beyond a simple collection of figurines. Children and adults will come together to share the magic of art, exchanging duplicates and participating in the games and riddles offered in the album. The ritual of “I’ve got it, I miss it” will echo back into schoolyards, parks and homes, creating moments of sharing and learning. The 57 selected works will guide young explorers through different eras and art movements. They will start with Van Gogh’s intense wheat fields and then encounter Paul Klee’s geometries, Miró’s fantasy, Munch’s expressive power and Boccioni’s avant-garde forms. A journey that will touch Futurism, Surrealism and many other currents, all the way to contemporary art.

The Artonauts collection is designed to be accessible to all. The standard album will be available for 1.50 euros, while the sticker packs will cost 80 cents each and will contain five images plus a special collectible TwinCard. For the most dedicated collectors, a premium hardcover edition will also be available, which can be purchased online or by special order at newsstands and bookstores for 9.90 euros.
