Art history in videopills, here is Menarini's project

Pharmaceutical company Menarini launches 'Menarini Pills of Art' project: video pills to popularize art history.

MenariniPills of Art is Menarini ’s new multimedia project for the multimedia dissemination of art through short video pills dealing with interesting but little-known anecdotes of works of art created in the Renaissance, the Middle Ages, the 16th century, and the 17th century. Since 1956, the pharmaceutical company, which has been attentive to the promotion of art history for decades, has published an unpublished monograph each year dedicated to the great masters of painting and sculpture such as Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael, Caravaggio, Titian, and Giotto, and this initiative represents its evolution.

Valeria Speroni Cardi, director Press & Media Relations of the Menarini Group, explains, “The one between Menarini and art is a long tradition that continues over time and that today, with Pills of Art, evolves. Menarini’s art volumes, which are distinguished by their simple language, invite the reader to not only stop and look at the images, but to discover curiosities and details that are often unknown. Also with the publication of the video pills, the pharmaceutical group wants to involve especially those who approach the world of painting and sculpture for the first time, revealing the anecdotes behind the great masterpieces of Italian art.”

The special section of Menarini’s website will feature videos illustrating masterpieces such as Beato Angelico’sCoronation of the Virgin, Leonardo da Vinci’sAnnunciation, Artemisia Gentileschi’s Judith Beheading Holofernes, Bronzino’s portrait of Eleanor of Toledo, and Botticelli’s Birth of Venus and Primavera.
