Art fairs also go online. Arte Fiera launches showcase In Gallery

Art fairs are also joining the institutes that are launching their works on the web in order not to leave the public alone during the Covid-19 coronavirus emergency. Arte Fiera, Italy’s longest-running modern and contemporary art fair, held annually in Bologna, has chosen to launch the In Galleria project to give visibility to closed galleries, which in turn must showcase their artists and works and are therefore facing difficulties. Reacting to this difficulty, Arte Fiera adheres to the #iorestoacasa campaign and shows its closeness and support to the galleries that exhibited in its last edition. In Galleria will thus be an online showcase for exhibitors starting on Tuesday, March 17.

On a weekly basis (Tuesdays) six galleries that participated in Arte Fiera 2020 will present, through a short text and a selection of images, the current exhibition at their venues on a dedicated page on the fair’s website; on the same days, the release will be relaunched on the event’s Facebook and Instagram accounts. The galleries will appear following the alphabetical order of the exhibitors’ catalog. In Galleria is a format designed to keep attention on the work of private galleries alive at a time when an unpredictable event, and one of global scope, makes it difficult to carry it out and communicate it. Once the emergency passes, In Galleria will still remain an additional element of online visibility and promotion for Arte Fiera exhibitors.

The first event is Tuesday, March 17, with galleries 1/9unosunove, 10 A.M. ART, A arte Invernizzi, Andrea Ingenito, A+B Gallery, aA29 Project Room. The hashtag to follow on social is, of course, #ingalleria.
