Art Bonus 2025: Click Day on Tuesday, April 15. Social finals kick off with the 30 top-rated projects

The first phase of the Art Bonus 2025 Competition concluded with a boom in participation. The 30 most voted projects enter the final round on social media: tomorrow's "Click Day" on Facebook and Instagram, where the public will decide the winners between culture and live entertainment.

With the official end of online voting on the www.artbonus.gov.it portal , the first phase of the Art Bonus 2025 Competition, a competition that for years has rewarded the commitment of citizens and patrons to the protection of cultural heritage and the promotion of live entertainment, ended today. More than 71,000 votes were received within a month, confirming a growing and widespread enthusiasm throughout the country. The numbers confirm the effectiveness of the participatory formula adopted again for this edition: an online voting system improved over the past, designed to guarantee even more transparency and security. A renewed technical set-up that did not deter the large popular jury that supported, promoted and spread the initiative through official channels and spontaneous campaigns.

Competing for the public’s votes were 374 projects, divided into two major categories: “Cultural Heritage and Places” and “Live Entertainment.” Nominations involved entities, institutions, foundations and administrations from as many as 16 Italian regions. A figure that testifies to the capillarity and transversality of theArt Bonus, a tool that unites citizens, businesses and cultural realities under the sign of civic participation.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, April 15, the second and decisive phase of the competition, the one that will decide the winners of the 2025 edition. The 30 projects that received the most preferences in the first phase, 15 in each category, will in fact face off in a social final open to all users. The so-called “Click Day” will take place on the official Facebook and Instagram channels of Art Bonus, where from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. it will be possible to vote for the finalist projects simply by clicking a like on Facebook or Instagram. Each project will have two dedicated posts, one for each social. Only the votes cast on the official posts published by the Art Bonus pages will be considered valid for the final ranking, while the likes collected on any shares or third-party content will not be counted.

At the end of the day, the votes obtained on social will be added to those already collected in the first phase on the official website, thus defining the final ranking and decreeing the winners of the edition. A mechanism that holds together the effectiveness of digital communication with the active participation of citizens, who are increasingly involved in supporting cultural, artistic and territorial enhancement projects.

In the category “Cultural Assets and Places,” important realities and projects of restoration, redevelopment or cultural support spread from north to south entered the finals. The City of Turin is participating with the project Feeding on Culture 2023 of the Turin Civic Libraries, while the National Archaeological Museum of Naples is competing with the restoration of the Salone della Meridiana. The Province of Livorno brought the project A Museum for Learning, a Museum for Living 2024 from the Museum of Natural History of the Mediterranean to the finals. Also in Naples, thanks to the ABAP Superintendency, the restoration of the left organ of the Church of San Gregorio Armeno reached the finals. Umbria is also well represented with the restoration of the Historic Curtain of the Teatro Nuovo Gian Carlo Menotti in Spoleto and the fresco of the Mater Dolorosa wayside shrine in Bastia Umbra. Also among the finalists are the Carrara Academy of Bergamo with its support for 2023 activities, the Culture to Grow 2024 project of the Arona Library, and the restoration of the Nymphaeum of the National Etruscan Museum of Villa Giulia in Rome.

Tuscany stands out for the presence of two projects: the opening to the public of the ancient coin cabinet in the Treasure Room of the National Archaeological Museum in Arezzo and the restoration of the Church of San Procolo promoted by the Galleria dell’Accademia in Florence and the Bargello Museums. The City of Fiorano Modenese is also participating with the restoration of the Spezzano Castle. Rounding out the finalists in the category are the restoration of the Municipal Auditorium of Campello sul Clitunno, the post-earthquake reconstruction of the Church of San Francesco in Amatrice, and the intervention on the monumental complex of the Sacro Monte of Varallo promoted by the Management Body of the Sacred Mountains of Piedmont.

The “Live Entertainment” category also sees impressive cultural initiatives competing. Among the finalists are A.M.A. Calabria with Derby, the project to bring young people closer to opera promoted by the Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, and the Ritratti 2023 Festival curated by the Euterpe Music Association in Puglia. Parma’s Teatro Regio is in the finals with its 2024 activities, while the Filarmonia Veneta is competing with its 2023 music project. There is no shortage of major festivals, such as Mito SettembreMusica 2023 from the Fondazione per la Cultura in Turin, and educational paths such as Opera Education 2023 from the Teatro Sociale di Como As.Li.Co.

Completing the shortlist of selected projects are the 2023 activity of the Teatro Olimpico Orchestra, Voci&Voci Festival Pacentro 2023 promoted by the Camerata Musicale Sulmonese, and the Pugliese Philharmonic Orchestra concert at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. Grand opera is also represented by the Concerto Viva Verdi conducted by Maestro Riccardo Muti for the Fondazione Teatri di Piacenza, while the Fondazione Unione Musicale di Torino won a place among the finalists with its concert activities in the past year. Also in the finals were the Campus Internazionale di Musica del Lazio with Attività Musicale 2023 and Celebrazioni Petrassiane, the Compagnia Corrado d’Elia with its Hamlet, and finally the Fondazione Pergolesi Spontini of the Marche with its #iosostengoilpergolesi2024 project.

An edition, that of 2025, that has been able to combine territorial capillarity, project quality and a renewed focus on the potential of digital. The challenge is now all played out online: from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. tomorrow, the likes will decide the future of the finalist cultural projects. Who will win will be decided by the citizens, once again active players in the cultural revitalization of the country.
