The Arena di Verona Foundation won the sixth edition of the Art Bonus of the Year competition with a total of 38,499 votes received for the"67 Columns for the Arena“ project. The project, the contest website states, is ”a fundraiser in support of the Arena di Verona Opera Festival in awareness of its relevance in the economic context of Verona and its province. It is therefore aimed at individuals and companies who have social responsibility at the center of their interests and who wanted to do their part to defend the identity and economic value of the Arenian Festival, threatened by the international tourism crisis resulting from Covid-19. The idea behind the fundraising campaign was that entrepreneurs and ordinary people, by joining the project, ideally contributed to rebuilding the 67 columns that were destroyed in the 1117 earthquake."
