On the occasion of Liberation Day, state museums and archaeological parks will be open for free on Tuesday, April 25, as proposed by Culture Minister Gennaro Sangiuliano.
The #domenicalmuseo initiative, which provides for free admission to state cultural sites every first Sunday of the month, will thus be joined by three more free-access dates: April 25, June 2 and November 4.
“April 25 will be the first of three new free days that I strongly desired to associate highly symbolic anniversaries for our nation with a moment of sharing our cultural heritage, a determining factor of identity in which all Italians can recognize themselves. I invite citizens and tourists to enjoy this opportunity on Liberation Day,” said Minister Sangiuliano.
On April 24, given the holiday bridge, many institutions have postponed their traditional Monday closures and will remain open.
Visits will take place during the usual opening hours, with access by reservation where provided. All info on the ministry’s website at https://cultura.gov.it/evento/25aprile2023
