Antonio Banderas will be Pablo Picasso in TV series dedicated to the painter

In 2018, Sky channel National Geographic will air"Genius Picasso," a television series dedicated to the entire life of Pablo Picasso.

Filming of the ten episodes of the series, produced by Brian Grazer and Ron Howard, will start this month and move to several European cities.

Playing the great artist will be Antonio Banderas; other actors include Clémence Poésy who will play Françoise Gilot , a French painter who was Picasso’s companion and by whom he had two children, Poppy Delevingne who will play Marie-Thérèse Walter, the painter’s lover, muse and mother of his first daughter; Aisling Franciosi who will be Fernande Olivier, a French model who posed for the artist for more than sixty portraits; and Alex Rich as the young Picasso.

Genius Picasso is produced by Fox 21 Television Studios.
