After seventy years, a new catalog raisonné of Degas' works: it's online

Michel Schulman has produced the first part of the catalog raisonné of Edgar Degas' works: it can be viewed online.

As of March 5, the first part of the catalog raisonné of the works of Impressionist painter Edgar Degas, an artist particularly famous for depicting dance scenes on canvas, is online.

Michel Schulman, journalist and Knight of Arts and Letters, was responsible for this catalog of sixty Degas masterpieces.

The aim of this work is to update the publications on the artist, as seventy years have passed since Paul-André Lemoisne ’s catalog, and a great deal of additional information has been accommodated by exhibitions and acquisitions that have completely altered the knowledge concerning the great Impressionist painter.

Schulman’s entire catalog raisonné is planned for 2020.
