With the introduction of pay-as-you-go admission for the Pantheon in Rome, the Museitaliani one-stop portal for buying museum tickets online is now online. The website https://portale.museiitaliani.it/ is part of the AD Arte platform, whose goal, as stated in the memo sent in May to the autonomous museums, the Regional Museum Directorates and the State Museums Directorate of the City of Rome, “is to arrive, especially when the digital population has spread, at the almost entirely online sale of museum tickets, passing through a single portal called ’Museitaliani. ’ A digital transformation that has already taken place in the sale of rail and airline tickets and in the automation involved in the payment of highway tolls.”
If you type in the address museiitaliani.it you are redirected to a sparse, information-free login page from which you can register with your details to create a personal account, or if you are already registered you can access the portal by entering your email and password. Once in the portal it is possible to purchase the museum ticket as in an e-commerce platform, complete with a shopping cart for one’s purchases.
Currently on the Museitaliani portal it is possible to purchase only the entrance ticket to the Pantheon - Basilica of Santa Maria ad Martyres, choosing the date and time of the visit. Information including visiting hours, closure, concessions, regulations for proper enjoyment of the site and contacts are also available.
The portal is also available in English.
AD Arte, the one-stop site for buying museum tickets, is online. But for now there is only the Pantheon |
