On the occasion of World Drawing Day, Saturday, April 23 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Palazzo Maffei - House Museum in Verona will offer a special initiative for young and old entitled Drawing Art.
Established in London in 1962 by the International Council of Graphic Design Associations, World Drawing Day is celebrated every year on April 27. This date is a worldwide celebration of the expressive, creative and communicative capacity of the activity of painting, which constitutes a nonverbal language capable of immediate and universal expression of ideas, emotions and feelings. The power of drawing, however, lies not only in its communicative power: it is in fact an activity with countless benefits, for young and old alike. In children it promotes cognitive development, coordination, and creativity, while in adults it helps relieve anxiety, stress, and tension.
The museum will provide children and adults with sheets, pencils and supports for drawing within the rooms of the exhibition route. It will be enough to be inspired by the works of art in Palazzo Maffei and by the invaluable help of the students of the Academy of Fine Arts of Verona, who will collaborate on the initiative participants for the occasion. The drawings will then be published in the socialnetwork stories of Palazzo Maffei - House Museum.
