Vinci, a series of talks on Leonardo's inventions at the Museo Leonardiano

Starting Feb. 10, 2021, a series of talks dedicated to Leonardo's inventions will kick off at the Leonardo Museum in Vinci.

The Leonardo Museum in Vinci is offering a series of thematic meetings entitled About Leonardo. Conversations at the Museum on Leonardo’s Inventions to delve into Leonardo’s studies and discoveries.

Beginning Wednesday, Feb. 10, a series of four conversations dedicated to the genius’ areas of study: hydraulics, anatomy, flight and weaving, reserved for visitors accessing the Vinci museums on midweek days, will thus kick off. The meetings will be included in the cost of the ticket and will take place on Wednesday afternoons at 3 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Places are limited and reservations can be made by writing to info@museoleonardiano.it or calling 0571.933285, or directly on site when purchasing tickets.

“The Municipal Administration has conceived this series of meetings inside the Leonardo Museum to boost admissions at such a complicated time and improve the visiting experience of the public,” explained Sara Iallorenzi, deputy mayor with responsibility for Culture of the Municipality of Vinci. “They will, in essence, be guided tours dedicated to specific themes and are a novelty included in the entrance fee. Those who participate will be able to interact directly with the operator of the educational section of the Leonardo Museum, thus having the opportunity to delve even deeper into the extraordinary inventions of the genius.” “This is an initiative aimed at all Leonardo enthusiasts who are visiting our museum for the first time or have already visited,” added the director of the Museo Leonardiano, Roberta Barsanti. “This is a new way to delve deeper into our collection and actively engage our public, offering them a never-before-seen look at Leonardo’s inventions.”
