Valley of the Temples launches ValleCard: free admissions year-round for couples and families

More than three thousand visitors, mostly Sicilians, spent the first Sunday in July (with free admission) in the Valley of the Temples.

It was therefore decided to launch the ValleCard dedicated to couples and families: the special passport, which aims to bring local and surrounding area families closer to the archaeological site, provides free admission throughout the year and discounts on all events and services, such as bookshop, cafeteria, educational activities, and campus.

The card can be purchased individually, for the couple or family, and was proposed by CoopCulture: the idea was born even before the health emergency, and the first two hundred who will apply for it (one hundred individuals and one hundred families) will be able to become ambassadors of the Valley of the Temples Park, promoting activities and events.

The rich program of live events will kick off on Saturday, July 11, near the Temple of Juno, with Mario Venuti, at the show Naked with My Music. A musical journey to retrace the career and successes of the Syracuse singer-songwriter. “A great emotion, to return to play after the long break imposed by the pandemic; and under the Temple of Juno, it will be a moment not to be easily forgotten. Only on stage, dressed only in my music: I will offer my songs on guitar or piano in the simple guise with which they were born, but I am sure that the emotional impact will be even more powerful,” Venuti commented.

The concert will be open to only 250 spectators, in compliance with security measures, and tickets will be on presale from Tuesday, July 7 at www.coopculture.it and www.parcovalledeitempli.it for 10 euros (8 euros if purchased with the subscription card). The card will then be on 50 percent promotion until July 20 and in digital (anti-covid) format at least until September.
