The Casa dei Tre Oci in Venice continues to tell its story through the web and social media, participating in the #iorestoacasa initiative.
Short videos will be online, on Facebook and Instagram profiles, in which artistic director Denis Curti will narrate the major retrospective, set up in the museum venue, dedicated to the famous French photographer Jacques Henri Lartigue, entitled The Invention of Happiness. Staff will also offer special insights into the exhibition and the Three Oci, giving the public a chance to virtually see behind the scenes. Still-unpublished details of the exhibition will be presented to viewers, such as the original layout featuring blow-ups of some pages from personal diaries and 126 albums with drawings and reflections by Lartigue himself. The exhibition will be told through its main themes: speed and movement, love and women, Paris and the elegant world of the aristocracy and bourgeoisie, and flowers.
In addition to the retrospective, curiosities about the Casa dei Tre Oci and its protagonists will be offered: from Mario De Maria, who built it in 1913, to his son Astolfo, who lived it as a house-studio, to his wife Adele Macchi. A special in-depth look will be devoted to the museum’s bookshop, created with the layouts Mario Ceroli had designed for the 1960 Rai program, Horizons of Science and Technology.
