Palazzo Pianetti, home of the Civic Museums of Jesi, offers Stretching to Art: the numerous paintings in the collection, many of them by Lorenzo Lotto, in fact inspire postures and postural movements.
The original initiative starts from this very idea. Every Monday morning a video will be shared on the Palace’s social channels with a series of exercises inspired by the posture and movements of the works of art.
The exercises to reactivate mind and body will be led by Silvia Donati, a young art history teacher and dancer: in fact, while she performs stretching in front of the chosen painting, her voice will narrate and describe the work, in a special combination of art and sport. The protagonist of the first episode was Lorenzo Lotto’s Saint Lucia.
In addition, four young people from the civil service active in the museum, Pianetti’s Friends, organize a series of fixed and interactive events, such as guided tours, insights, trivia, quizzes, prizes, challenges and much more, because “museums are not dark and boring, but are often cozy and familiar places, full of wonder and fun.”
