From May 8 to Sept. 8, 2019, visitors to Siena will be able to see the city from above early in the morning thanks to the extraordinary opening of the Facciatone del Duomo Nuovo, the enormous facade of what would have been the Duomo’s extension, which was interrupted in the mid-14th century. It will be possible to climb up the Facciatone every day starting at 8 a.m., instead of, as usual, at 10 a.m. Visitors will also be able to contemplate the panorama of Siena by taking advantage of an introduction to the city provided by multilingual escorts who will invite visitors to recognize the city’s most significant sites from above.
For all visit information you can go to the website of the Opera del Duomo di Siena.
