The list of museums joining the #iorestoacasa campaign due to the coronavirus emergency grows with the addition of the Borghese Gallery in Rome. Last March 4, the museum launched the #laculturanonsiferma initiative, which includes daily behind-the-scenes reports of its ordinary and extraordinary activities on its social channels.
These behind-the-scenes are divided into two categories: on the one hand we have the activities carried out in the museum behind closed doors such as the restoration of the work of Piero di Cosimo, the renovation and adaptation works of the services and and new microclimatic detection systems, and on the other hand we have a review of small video interviews with restorers, officials, technicians and scholars.
The Gallery is also continuing already established formats such as Lift your gaze let yourself be carried away, Timeless Expressions, Forever young, Point of view, Lights and Shadows, and Museum Tales.
In addition to all this, the Museum is working to relaunch initiatives in the exhibition program, such as the exhibition Caravaggio. The Lute Player, scheduled for April 29.
Finally, the Gallery is participating in MiBACT ’s #litaliachiamo initiative (you can find the official website here).
The social networks for following the Gallery’s activities are Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
