Reggio Emilia Civic Museums' initiatives for Museum Week 2020

The Civic Museums of Reggio Emilia are participating from May 11-17 in #MUSEUMWEEK2020, which this year has chosen Togetherness - Solidarity as its global theme : togetherness is the only way humanity can face the challenges of the 21st century, and the health emergency has highlighted the power of culture, art, and institutions to unite us.

Each day will be dedicated to a theme of #MW2020: #HeroesMW, #CultureinQuarantineMW, #TogetherMW, #MuseumMomentsMW, #ClimateMW, #TechnologyMW, #DreamsMW, #HeroesMW, #CultureinQuarantineMW, #TogetherMW, #EnvironmentMW, #TechnologyMW, #DreamsMW.

The Reggio Emilia Civic Museums program includes web live on the Facebook channel in the morning(Talks, 11-11:30 a.m.) and video lectures in the afternoon, on Facebook and Youtube, inspired by the locations of the museum network(Museums of Wonders, 5 p.m.) and music(Sound Museum, 5:30 p.m.):

- TALK | Meetings with museum communication experts declined following the seven daily themes of MuseumWeek: key words through which to develop a debate on the current situation of museums, their activities, solutions to live in the pandemic time and project into the future. Experts from the field of national museum/cultural communication, in dialogue with the Civic Museums, who can provide high-level professional input on the topic at hand, will be involved. talks will take place at 11-11:30 a.m.

- MUSEUMS OF WONDERFULNESS | A choral account of the museum network from the voice of conservators. Each venue is connected to the theme scheduled for the day: Museo del Tricolore - Chiara Pelliciari / Heroes; Galleria Parmeggiani and Museo della Ghiara - Maria Montanari / Cultures in Quarantine; Museo di Storia della Psichiatria - Chiara Bombardieri / Together; Il Mauriziano - Linda Gualdi / Museum Moments; Collezioni storico-scientifiche - Giada Pellegrini / Climate; C-Lab - Riccardo Campanini / Technology; Palazzo dei Musei - Alessandro Gazzotti / Dreams. Museums of Wonder is scheduled for 5 p.m.

- SOUND MUSEUM | Musical performances inspired by the museum venue and the theme of the day by artists from the local and national scene. Performances will be held at 5:30 p.m.
