Radio GAMeC becomes Real Live, a platform of live performances and encounters that will take place on a special stage: the MASBEDO Videomobile.
From June 18 to July 23, five evening events will be held in the courtyard of Bergamo’s Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art: the protagonists will be Nic Cester, Cristiano Godano, Andrea Pennacchi, Alessandro Sciarroni and Virgilio Sieni, joined by new voices from the city to tell the restart by placing art and culture in its various forms at the center. The GAMeC showcase overlooking Piazza Carrara will instead be transformed into a visual display for the screening of artists’ films.
The meetings will be free admission with reservations required and will be streamed on GAMeC’s YouTube channel.
Radio GAMeC Real Live intends to be a way to transform the relationship built with the public through digital platforms into something physical. The five appointments are scheduled on Thursday evenings on MASBEDO’s Videomobile: produced by Beatrice Bulgari for In Between Art Film on the occasion of Manifesta 12 Palermo, it is an old OM cargo van from the 1970s transformed into a “video wagon,” a kind of studio in motion. In Between Art Film will also be the production house for a documentary on the city of Bergamo to be made by MASBEDO in the coming months, within which will flow part of the footage the artists will shoot during the Radio GAMeC Real Live events.
The GAMeC showcase will be a display for viewing artist films, selected by Paola Nicolin drawing from the collections of GAMeC, In Between Art Film and Seven Gravity Collection.
