The Palais de Tokyo in Paris, one of France’s and Europe’s most important museums forcontemporary art, will open its doors to nudists next May: a special tour organized in collaboration with the Paris Naturist Association is scheduled for Saturday, May 5, which will take place the morning before the museum opens to the public.
“When the doors reopen, the Palais will be wearing clothes again,” Dolores Gonzales of the museum’s press office told Agence France Press, adding that the event aims to make the institution even more open. After all, interest in naturism is growing in France, and places reserved for those who enjoy the practice are also being opened in the capital.
This is not the first time museums have opened to nudists-the most famous such initiative is probably the one held at the Leopold Museum in Vienna in 2013 (pictured).
