In Verona’s Piazza delle Erbe, the house-museum Palazzo Maffei will reopen on Sept. 26, 2020, after being forced to close due to a health emergency.
The17th-century building holds more than 350 works of modern and contemporary art by the great masters of the 20th century: from Picasso to de Chirico, Miró to Kandinsky, Magritte to Fontana, Burri and Manzoni. It also preserves a significant corpus of paintings of Veronese painting.
Works that belong to the Luigi Carlon collection that encompasses more than five centuries of history, creating an exhibition path between ancient and modern.
The house-museum Palazzo Maffei will initially welcome visitors only on weekends, with mandatory reservations active from September 1.
Visits, by reservation, will be possible by time slots, on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. (last entry, 5 p.m.).
