Fondazione Musei Senesi is launching a “social challenge,” as they have called it, entitled At the Museum as at Home. The goal is to engage the entire public and local communities in a time of direct participation, each from their own homes.
“What do you keep in your home as a museum piece? What do you observe to feel the beauty? Tell us about your home artwork!”: an invitation to tell the stories related to the objects that everyone jealously keeps at home. A kind of small museum of personal memories.
The idea for this initiative came from the author of The Museum of Innocence, Orhan Pamuk, who says that museums should tell the stories of the everyday in which everyone can recognize themselves and should have an intimate and welcoming dimension.
At this link is the appeal by Elisa Bruttini, scientific director of the Fondazione Musei Senesi.
The hashtags to follow are #almuseocomeacasa #museisenesi
