After its enforced closure, the Galleria Nazionale delle Marche will also see the public walk through its museum rooms again starting May 28, in compliance with planned security measures.
It will be possible to enter the Gallery, in Urbino’s Ducal Palace, Tuesday through Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 7:15 p.m. (with last entry allowed until one hour before closing).

In addition to the permanent collection, the exhibition Raphael Ware. The Colors of the Renaissance, extended until September 27, 2020. On this occasion 147 examples of Italian Renaissance majolica from the largest private collection of its kind in the world will be on display, highlighting how the Italian Renaissance era influenced every artistic form, including majolica, which fully expresses the aesthetic quest and cultural climate of Italy between the 15th and 16th centuries. Since the seventeenth century, sixteenth-century Italian majolica has been highly sought after by collectors, and historiated majolica has been associated with the name of Raphael: hence the title of the exhibition Raphael ware. In addition, for a few weeks, it will still be possible to admire the so-called Predella di Fano, the work that the young Raphael created in collaboration with his master Perugino, here in temporary storage.
