Tickets, with slots available at quarter-hour intervals, are on sale but are going fast: already full on Friday until midnight, only a few night slots remain available. The exhibition is already the third most visited in the National Gallery’s history. The museum, after all, has been able to bring together several masterpieces such as the Musée d’Orsay’s Starry Night on the Rhone (1888) and the Van Gogh Museum’s Yellow House , not to mention, of course, paintings from the permanent collection such as the celebrated Sunflowers. The exhibition was organized for the museums’ 200th anniversary.

“Our visitors,” says museum director Gabriele Finaldi, "will have the rare and special opportunity to admire Van Gogh’s paintings during the night and early morning hours, following in the footsteps of artists such as Freud, Bacon and Hockney who came here at these times of day to draw inspiration from the National Gallery’s collection."
