Until December 31, 2020, the Sale del Re (King’s Halls ) in Milan ’s Piazza della Scala will host the Leonardo3 exhibition.
The study center presents visitors with a unique collection based on the faithful reproduction of more than two hundred interactive 3D machines and working physical reconstructions. The reconstructions were created through the analysis of Leonardo’s main sources of study, such as Manuscript B, the Codex on Flight, and the Codex Atlanticus, and depict never-before-seen models. Among the most significant reproductions are the Mechanical Lion, theMechanical Eagle, and the Great Continuous Organ, presented as a world premiere.
The exhibition is also an opportunity to consult Leonardo’s writings in digital format and to get closer to Leonardo’s culture thanks to never-before-seen activities: examples include Leonardo’s Workshop, where young children can try their hand at constructing drawings and pick up their own inventor’s certificate, and theLast Supper interactive room, where digital restoration of the masterpiece allows visitors to discover lost stories and details of one of Leonardo’s most famous works.
The museum exhibition is open to the public on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
