Jewelry designer Giovanni Raspini opens his Renaissance palace to the public

Giovanni Raspini, owner of the eponymous silver jewelry brand, opens to the public the Renaissance palace he bought in 2021 in Tuscany's historic center of Monte San Savino.

Architect and designer Giovanni Raspini, owner of one of the most celebrated jewelry houses and a leader in silver jewelry, has decided to open to the public the Renaissance palace the brand purchased in 2021 in Tuscany, specifically in the historic center of Monte San Savino (Arezzo). Renamed Palazzo dei Topi d’Argento, the building is intended to represent the creative heart of the brand.

On the occasion of the opening, 12 previously unseen bronze sculptures with an animalier theme: Rhinoceroses on parade, created by a group of sculptors and artists under the creative direction of Giovanni Raspini himself, founder of the eponymous brand, will be on display. Starting Friday, June 30, and running through Sept. 3, the Palazzo dei Topi d’Argento will welcome lovers of art, design and culture to allow them to immerse themselves in Giovanni Raspini’s creative universe. This new chapter in the brand’s history stems from the desire to share the 25 rooms that make up this place with the public .

“It fills us with pride to be able to share the beauty and projects housed in these rooms,” says Giovanni Raspini. “Since the day of its inauguration in 2021, after a restoration that lasted more than two years, we have been inundated with requests from curious people and enthusiasts who wanted to visit our palace. We have always tried to follow up on these wishes and finally, in agreement and with the support of the Municipality of Monte San Savino, we will be able to guarantee continuity in visits and access to this, which is one of the most representative places of the creative soul of our company. For the occasion I have decided to create, in continuity with the creative projects I already follow, an exhibition of unpublished pieces: 12 bronze rhinos with a dreamlike and phantasmagorical sign that in a ”parade“ will welcome our guests.”

The Palazzo dei Topi d’Argento, formerly the home of Renaissance artist and architect Andrea Sansovino, purchased and restored by Giovanni Raspini in collaboration with Roberto Baciocchi, houses a collection of Raspini’s unique works, born from the creative ingenuity of the jewelry designer and his collaborators. Visitors will have the opportunity to admire these works up close during a guided tour that will lead through the exhibition spaces. The palace will be open free of charge, every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and then from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. For all information you can visit the official website.
