MAN Museo d’Arte di Nuoro and Fondazione ICA Milano are proposing the unprecedented project Connessioni Inventive: a rich calendar of digital conversations intended to be moments of education and in-depth study. The aim is to give impetus to a path of promoting humanistic knowledge in interdisciplinary terms, in ways and languages accessible to all.
It is a series of digital lectures to offer a contribution of analysis and interpretation, in this situation of global emergency, entrusted to Italian voices very active in their fields. MAN and ICA share a plan of specific commissions to researchers from different and connected fields to propose content in the philosophical, social, artistic and economic fields.
The project was born as a response to the need for a cultural institution to identify and provide content suitable for this period, and to propose new ways of sharing. However, Inventive Connections intends to be a long-term project in order to establish a process of shareable cultural production that can continue beyond the Covid-19 era.
Conceived and curated by Luigi Fassi and Alberto Salvadori, the project consists of meetings that can be enjoyed by live streaming on the Facebook page of MAN_Museo d’Arte Provincia di Nuoro (@museoman) and on the Instagram account of ICA (@ica_milano), every Thursday at 11 a.m. The contributions will later be available on the dedicated YouTube channel(Connessioni Inventive) to build a sort of archive accessible at all times.
Following are the May appointments:
Thursday, May 7 Alessandro Carrera, professor of Italian Studies and World Cultures and Literatures at the University of Houston, Texas;
Thursday, May 14 Francesca Recchia, researcher and writer living in Kabul, director of the Afghan Institute of Arts and Architecture;
