Genoese Masterpieces in the World, available to everyone on the exhibition venue’s website: a continuously updated videogallery, which is enriched with new contributions every week.

The intent of the virtual review is to return to the city the memory of a great culture, which in the past had made it the capital of art and great commissions: masterpieces that belong to the history of Genoa and that today are exhibited in the most important museums in the world. Works by artists, such as Rubens, Caravaggio, van Dyck, Gentileschi and many others, for the first time brought together to collect contributions for the exhibitions and future activities of Palazzo Ducale Fondazione per la Cultura.



Scholars and personalities from the world of culture and art will tell the history, curiosities and splendor of these masterpieces in short videos. It starts on Friday, May 8, at 9 p.m. with the first event: on the social Facebook channel, Palazzo Ducale director Serena Bertolucci will discuss Bernardo Strozzi’s Madonna of Justice, now in the Louvre.
