From June 9 Leonardo's Last Supper returns to view: five people at a time and reduced hours

The Cenacolo Vinciano in Santa Maria delle Grazie will be open again starting June 9, with new ways to visit.

We will have to wait a few more days to return to visit the Da Vinci LastSupper: from Tuesday, June 9, the public will again be able to admire Leonardo da Vinci ’s LastSupper in the refectory of Santa Maria delle Grazie.

However, the masterpiece created between 1494 and 1498 will be visible with modified visiting modes: theopening hours will be reduced from 2 to 6:45 p.m. and only five visitors per shift (instead of thirty-five as before) will be able to access every quarter of an hour.

“This is the initial route after which, once the impact and functionality of the route studied has been assessed, corrections may be proposed,” said the director of the Regional Directorate of Museums of Lombardy, Emanuela Daffra.

The Polo Museale della Lombardia recently changed its name: as of May 27, the institute became Direzione Regionale Musei Lombardia.
