On the occasion of the first Sunday of the month, the Giovanni Fattori Museum in Villa Mimbelli and the Museum of the City - Livorno ’s contemporary art section are offeringfree admission to all visitors on Sunday, June 7. Another important Leghorn artist, Enrico Pollastrini, is also dedicated a significant tribute with the exhibition of seven works, not seen for more than 30 years, including two historical sketches and the unpublished large preparatory drawing for the Orfanelle senesi.
Finally, all the exhibition rooms have been equipped with new lighting for an even more evocative visit to the museum. The latter preserves a pictorial collection that includes the period from the mid-19th century to the 1940s, with important nuclei of Leghorn artists, such as Fattori, Corcos, Nomellini, and some works by Tuscan and other artists, such as Lega, Signorini, and Boldini.
