Florence, Opera Laboratories opens new space dedicated to art and culture

In downtown Florence, Opera Laboratori has opened a new space dedicated to art and culture for traveling throughout Italy.

In the very center of Florence, on Via Por Santa Maria, Opera Laboratori is opening a new space dedicated to art and culture: Opera Your Preview. Thanks to high-definition images of works of art and monuments projected on the walls with the use of high-tech multimedia systems, visitors will be able to “foretaste” the excitement of being, for example, under the tribune of Michelangelo’s David or being transported to the excavations of Pompeii and then being led to the top of the Gate of Heaven of Siena Cathedral.

In a sustainable way and without the use of paper media, but solely through digital media and through QR codes, it will be possible to have all the information needed to be able to organize one’s own visits and to have a portfolio with official admission tickets to Italian museums, exhibitions, guided tours and monuments.

The offer can be further enriched thanks to the adhesion of other museums, theaters and cultural institutions in the territory, and not only, that will want to join this project of Opera Laboratori.

Tickets will be purchasable at the real price and for multiple museums: from the Uffizi, to Palazzo Pitti, to the Boboli Gardens, to the Accademia Gallery, to the Bargello Museum, but also to many other museum sites in Tuscany. Guests will have many itineraries available with package deals: the Divine Beauty Pass of the Siena Cathedral Complex, the San Gimignano Museums and Monuments Pass, and the Pienza City of Light Pass. Other possible experiences will be: visits with the App to the Gold of Montalcino combined with the Abbey of Sant’Antimo, the Sant’Agostino Museum Complex and the Brunello Temple with its tastings. Additional destinations: the Temple of San Biagio in Montepulciano, the museums of Colle Val d’Elsa, the artistic and spiritual circuit of the Soul of Volterra, the Diocesan Museum of Cortona and the Cathedral of Arezzo.

Not only Florence and Tuscany, but also Umbria and the rest of Italy: entering Opera Your Preview, the visitor will seem to travel as far as the Pinacoteca di Brera, the Reggia di Caserta, the Archaeological Park of Pompeii and Herculaneum, Villa Giulia in Rome, the Cathedral Complex of Spoleto, and the civic museums of Assisi.

It is a journey through the art of more than 45 museum sites of which Opera Laboratori, active in the field of cultural enhancement and promotion for more than 20 years, takes care of the management. Not only art, but also places related to the naturalistic and scientific sphere with the Aquarium of Genoa and the Aquarium of Livorno, and recreational fun with Aquafan in Riccione and Italy in Miniature in Rimini and through itineraries riding a bicycle in Terra Eroica.

The architectural design of the space was supervised by the Magni&Guicciardini studio, and carried out by Opera Laboratori; while the design of the brand, coordinated image, visual décor, as well as digital content was developed by Senzafiltro Comunicazione. The multimedia system, on the other hand, was provided by ETT.

Opera Your Preview ’s highly professional staff will give information and directions on exhibitions, guided tours, concerts, and special events, and ensure curated service according to the needs of individual guests, taking into account their time, interests, and expectations.

“With the opening of this dedicated space,” explains Beppe Costa, president of Opera Laboratories, “we wanted to make an act of love towards Florence and Italy by promoting even more its cultural value and knowledge. Opera Your Preview is a unique reality that allows us not only to give directions and provide official tickets for the many cultural institutions with which we collaborate, but also to give an emotion. Through the evocative multimedia projections, even those who will only be passing by will feel part of the experience of a possible authentic visit. We hope that this new proposal can involve many other realities in Florence and beyond. This project is also part of the spirit of the culture of hospitality and sustainable tourism that has informed our work for years.”
