Casina di Raffaello launches The Garden in My Room, an art and creativity contest aimed at children ages 6 to 10. The project is inspired by Elvira Battaini’s poem In my room the garden has drawn a forest:
"In my room the garden drew a forest;
In my room the moon tonight
Has drawn the stylized imprint of a forest.
The moon has printed a forest."
Children are then invited to poetically imagine and depict a garden in their room with a composition of any kind: poetry, drawing, mixed media or even new technologies. The goal of the contest is to solicit children’s creativity and imagination, allowing them to develop ideas.
To participate in the contest one must:
- Send a photo of your entries to e-mail info@casinadiraffaello.it by midnight on Sunday, April 19, 2020;
- All entries will be posted on the Casina di Raffaello facebook page;
- A selection of the best entries received will be presented in an exhibition at Casina di Raffaello when activities resume;
- The top five best works, determined by likes received on the Casina di Raffaello facebook page, will be awarded with small gadgets during the opening of the exhibition.
