The Pinacoteca di Brera and the Braidense National Library are launching the Notes of Cultural Resistance, as part of the Brera a occhi aperti initiative.
Kicking off the first event, which is already available on MiBACT’s Youtube channel, is director James Bradburne himself, who illustrates the various activities underway to make it clear, as he puts it, that “the heart of Milan continues to beat.”
From the presentation of the works on display in the rooms to behind-the-scenes management of the repositories, from reading stories for children from the Braidense’s rich library holdings to recordings of chamber concerts held on various occasions inside the museum: a rich variety of material that will be made available on the web and of which we get a first taste, already in this first video, through some excerpts dedicated to paintings, such as Carlo Crivelli ’s Madonna della Candeletta and Federico Barocci’s The Martyrdom of St. Vitaliano, or to Franz Listz’s sonatas performed by pianist Clive Britton.
The first video of Notes on Cultural Resistance is available at this link.
