The Piedmont Region has signed a four-year agreement with theHermitage in St. Petersburg: benefiting, in addition to the Russian museum of course, one of the most appreciated and visited in the world, will be the Rivoli Castle, the Reggia di Venaria Reale and the Center for Conservation and Restoration in Venaria Reale. The agreement provides for exchanges of works of art, which will concern, for Piedmont, mainly contemporary art: already planned is an exhibition onArte Povera at the Hermitage. Then there will also be study internships between specialists from the museums involved in the program, and of course meetings, lectures, and exhibitions.
“The agreement,” Antonella Parigi, Piedmont Regional Councilor for Culture, told ANSA, “will bring a fruitful collaboration between three cultural institutions of excellence in the region and one of Europe’s leading museum institutions. The partnership confirms the international relevance of our museums.”
