Mediartrade presents its upcoming auction of modern and contemporary art featuring works by leading artists

Mediartrade Auction House presents the upcoming auction of Modern and Contemporary Art that will take place on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. at the Milan headquarters in Via Marco Polo 9, Porta Nuova. On the website www.mediartrade.com it is possible until November 30, 2021 (including Saturdays and Sundays) to see the hundred lots thanks to the vitual tour. The auction brings together important works selected by a careful investigation under the historical-artistic aspect with costs from the lowest to the highest and will open with a series of works that portray the female figure through different formal and aesthetic languages: at lots 3 (€2,000 - €2,500) and 4 (€2,000 - €2,500) two iconic photographs by Man Ray, at lot 4 a portrait by Meret Oppenheim. Landscape views follow, including Ardengo Soffici at lot 18 (€14,000 - €17,000) with The Red House from 1960, two Beaches by Carlo Mattioli from 1988 at lots 22 (22.000 € - 25,000 €) and 23 (14,000 € - 16,000 €), at lot 24 (28,000 € - 32,000 €) a fiery Paesaggio [summer]. To the Informal current belong the two 1951 Spirals by Roberto Crippaat lots 32 (15,000 € - 17,000 €) and 33 (15,000 € - 17,000 €). Present are Giuseppe Capogrossi ’s 1955 Superficie 368 at lot 34 (100,000 € - 120,000 €), a 1954 Untitled by Tancredi at lot 35 (25,000 € - 35.000 €), an Untitled by Afro from 1962 at lot 36 (16,000 € - 18,000 €), works by Ennio Morlotti at lots 39, 40 and 41 and T1961-H16 by Hans Hartungfrom 1961 at lot 42 (180,000 € - 220,000 €).

Also of note are Enrico Castellani ’s 1987 Superficie bianca at lot 59 (€220,000 - €250,000), a 1985 Untitled by Agostino Bonalumi at lot 60 (€5,000 - 7.000 €), important works by Renato Guttuso at lots 65, 66, 67 and 68, Metaphysical Landscape (1966) and Woman with Red Hair (1970) by Mario Tozzi at lots 73 (18,000 € - 22,000 €) and 74 (26,000 € - 30,000 €), Venice, Doge’s Palace (1958) and Horses on the Seashore (1955-56) by Giorgio de Chirico at lots 75 (120.000 € - 140,000 €) and 76 (65,000 € - 75,000 €), a corpus of works by Mario Schifano at lots 77, 78, 79, 80, a selection of works by Mimmo Rotella at lots 82, 83, 84, 85, including an iconic 1963 décollage at lot 82, and finally a triptych of papers by Alighiero Boetti at lots 86 (30.000 € - 35.000 €), 87 (35.000 € - 40.000 €), 88 (30.000 € - 35.000 €).
