Auctions Oct. 25-31: contemporary art, majolica and plaques

What are the best auctions in late October? We show them to you with our special column.

Three auctions at Pandolfini’s: on Oct. 25 there is Furniture and objets d’art from private collections; on Oct. 26 there will be Important Majolica from the Renaissance to the 18th century and Sculpture from the 15th to the 19th century.

On October 26 Wannenes opens the auctions Important Majolica and Porcelain and Asian Art.

At Farsetti ’s we find the auctions Important Antique Furniture, Sculptures and Paintings on Oct. 27 and Paintings and Sculptures from the 19th and 20th centuries on Oct. 28.

On Oct. 26 Finarte opens the Pop Culture / Memorabilia and Cards auction selling autographed cards and sports and movie memorabilia.

At Pananti ’s, the Antiques (ending Nov. 6) and 19th and 20th Century Authors (ending Nov. 7) auctions open on Oct. 25.

If you are interested in plaques, Bertolami ’s has an auction of Plaques and Medals from the 14th to the 19th century on Oct. 31.

Five auctions at Christie’s: on Oct. 26 are Collection Jean-Louis Danis and Art of the Islamic and Indian Worlds including Rugs and Carpets; on Oct. 27 there will be An Eye Enchanted: Indian Paintings from the Collection of Toby Falk and Barolo en primeur 2023; for Oct. 27 and 28 is Prints and Multiples.

On Oct. 25 Sotheby’s opens The Edith & Stuart Cary Welch Collection, Pier 24 Photography from the Pilara Family Foundation and Arts of the Islamic World & India auctions.
