Auctions Nov. 18-25: paintings from the 16th to 20th centuries and Picasso's ceramics

We are back with a new installment of our art auction rubbric. Today we found many interesting auctions for the coming days.

Pandolfini is offering from Nov. 19 to Dec. 2 the timed auction Paintings from the 16th to the 20th century, which auctions paintings made over four centuries, the traditional Timed Auction to raise funds forAIRC (Italian Association for Cancer Research) to be held from Nov. 23 to Dec. 6, and Aurea. Italian and Foreign Gold Coins and Medals which, from Nov. 23 to Dec. 3, offers for sale Austrian and French coins from the 19th and 20th centuries.

For book lovers, we point out that Finarte is offering the Books, Autographs and Prints auction that, just today, will offer for sale such heirlooms as a parchment of Charles II of England dated 1665 and a letter by Giacomo Leopardi dated 1825, while Gonnelli will hold the Graphics and Books auction from Dec. 1 to 3 that offers for sale, among others, books from the 15th to 20th centuries, prints both ancient and modern and photographs.

If you are looking for modern art, the Baboon has in store for Nov. 24, 25 and 26 Decorative Arts and Design of the Twentieth Century, which will display original drawings by Renato Gattuso, among others. Also the Baboon will hold from Nov. 21 to Dec. 2 Timed Auction November - December 2020, which will offer model trains and airplanes for sale.

Returning to Finarte, on Nov. 23 there will be Antique Paintings and Drawings, 19th Century Art selling paintings by Giovanni Monti, Ferdinando Partini, and Pieter van Bloemen, among others.

International auction houses include Sotheby ’s, which on Nov. 20 will hold the auction True Connoisseurship: The Collection of Ezra & Cecile Zilkha, which will offer for sale the most valuable antiques from the Collection of the Zilkha couple; Belle Époque and Beyond, which will offer for sale prints from the Barbara and Ira Lipman Collection until Nov. 23; and Picasso Prints & Ceramics, an auction all about the paintings and ceramics of Pablo Picasso. Today Artcurial is offering Les Collections Aristophil, which is auctioning off literary memorabilia from the Romain Gary collection. Today and tomorrow the Dorotheum will hold the auctions Coins and Medals, for antique currency enthusiasts, and Christmas Auction - Silver, Glass, Porcelain, Engraving, Militaria, Carpets, which includes important pieces such as the painting Sordillo by Alonso del Arco.
