Auctions Aug. 11-17: contemporary art, racing cars, and Christo's works

In August the auction houses are also closed for vacation, but these are the offerings we found from August 11 to 17.

Two auctions are underway at Christie’ s: until August 18 there is Jewels Online: Summer Sparkle while until August 19 we find Say It Loud: Visionaries of Self.

Sotheby’s, as per tradition, will hold aMonterey Car Week auction from Aug. 12 to 14 in which race cars are sold. Other auctions are Contemporary Art on Aug. 12, Christo, selling works by the contemporary artist through Aug. 16, and Palm-sized Treasures - Sniffing Bottles from the Jimeng Shanfang Collection scheduled for Aug. 17.

Two auctions at Bonhams: on Aug. 13 there is Quail Lodge Auction, a sports car auction, and on Aug. 17 there will be Prints & Multiples.

At Ketterer Kunst there is anauction ending Aug. 15 selling a variety of postwar and modern artworks.
