Veronafiere launches call for new artistic direction of ArtVerona

Veronafiere is launching a call for applications to select the new artistic direction of ArtVerona for the next three-year period. Applications must be submitted by Oct. 31, while the deadline for submission is Nov. 25.

Applicants should have experience in curating cultural activities in Italy and/or abroad, specifically proven knowledge of the field and collaborative activities with galleries, curators, artists or other practitioners nationally and internationally; Proven multidisciplinary skills in the arts; and ability to move throughout the territory, nationally and internationally, to attend the most important events in the sector and the most significant activities of galleries and cultural institutions

ArtVerona, one of the first fairs dedicated to the art market in Italy, is distinguished by its dynamism and commitment to training new collectors of modern and contemporary art. This takes place in a territorial context particularly linked to the development of the national business system. The continuous confrontation between the fair, galleries, collectors, and cultural and economic institutions in Verona has fostered the adoption of innovative solutions, resulting in a new model of a permanent, transversal, accessible fair. In 2025, ArtVerona will celebrate its 20th anniversary, a significant milestone that drives Veronafiere to strengthen the event. New investments aimed at promoting growth and enhancing the fair’s image and proposals are already planned.

The procedure calls for applications to be submitted by Oct. 31, with delivery of the three-year cultural project by Nov. 25. The project must include hypotheses for the development and repositioning of the fair, as well as strategies to attract new audiences. The selection will begin with an evaluation of the profile, curriculum and cultural project submitted by applicants. In a second phase, the committee will define a shortlist of finalists, who will be offered an interview to further their professional experiences and verify the skills needed for the assignment.
