Prato's Pecci Center seeks new director

The Luigi Pecci Center for Contemporary Art in Prato, one of Italy’s best-known contemporary art spaces, is looking for a new director: the start of the search was given by the Board of Directors of the Foundation for Contemporary Arts in Tuscany, which published a call for applications, active from July 24 to Oct. 15. The director, in particular, will be responsible for the preparation of the Foundation’s programs, cultural and exhibition planning of the museum, its promotion, the preparation of the draft budget and the final budget, the convening of the scientific commission, the administration of the patrimony according to the indications provided by the governing bodies, and the activities of information and reporting to the BoD, in whose meetings he or she will be required to attend (without voting rights).

The position is for three years and the director will receive up to 80,000 euros gross per year. Professional experience, extensive knowledge of modern and contemporary art, master’s degree, experience in crowdfunding and fundraising, expertise in marketing and cultural communication, and aptitude for networking required.
