A call for applications has been published in the Official Gazette for the recruitment of 518 non-management, full-time, permanent staff to be placed in Area III, economic position F1, at the Ministry of Culture (MiC), with the exception of the Province of Bolzano. Specifically, the posts involve 268 archivists, 130 library officials 15 restorers, 32 architects, 35 art historians, 20 archaeologists, 8 paleontologists, and 10 demoethnoanthropologists.
Archivists will carry out research and cataloguing, protection and enhancement of archival assets and document collections by creating databases, copies and security substitutes for consultation. They will also carry out teaching, lecturing and training activities for archival schools, designing and implementing educational programs, as well as publishing activities and scientific publications.
The 130 library officers will carry out activities to identify and identify the characteristics and relevance of library holdings and collections and on any analog and digital media, as well as study, research, management, training, enhancement, promotion and protection activities inherent to library and documentary holdings. Activities of collection, cataloging and indexing of materials and restoration of assets will be required. In addition, they will have the role of scientific advising and assistance with the public and carry out publishing activities related to the field of librarianship and related disciplines.
The 15 conservators will carry out maintenance and restoration of cultural property and participate in the training and formulation of projects for property maintenance work.
The 31 architect officers will be expected to examine and evaluate projects for maintenance, restoration but also excavation consolidation, enhancement and architectural design, as well as museographic arrangement; expertise and methodological research on types of maintenance for historical and artistic aspects of cultural heritage.
The 35 art historians will carry out study, research, cataloging, protection, management, preservation, enhancement, and training activities inherent to movable and immovable properties of historic and artistic interest. They will direct non-management level structures and coordinate activities in various areas; they will carry out inspection or evaluation activities of special significance. They will review and evaluate maintenance, restoration and research projects submitted by third parties, verifying the appropriateness and proper execution of the related work. They will design and test conservation, restoration, enhancement, relocation and handling of assets, including with other professionals in the conduct of the work. They will plan, direct and carry out inventory and cataloguing works of the assets under their responsibility, taking care of the historical-artistic definition of the assets. They will take care of the ordering and management of museums and carry out study and research activities on methodologies and technologies of maintenance, consolidation and restoration at laboratories and sites verifying the compatibility between the historical and artistic aspects of the assets of competence and the treatments of investigation and conservation. They will participate in the formulation of the three-year public works program with regard to restoration, protection and enhancement interventions. They will perform the functions of technical consultant, expert and referee. They will plan, organize and coordinate events, exhibitions, conferences and seminars, with scientific and popular purposes, and carry out educational programs, also performing didactic, training and communication activities. Lastly, they will carry out activities of directing educational services or the educational section of museums and supervising the cultural and scientific content of educational activities carried out by concessionaires; they will take care of publishing activities and draft publications and scientific texts.
The 20 archaeology officers will carry out study, research, cataloging, protection, management, preservation, enhancement and training activities inherent to property, movable and immovable, of archaeological interest, including underwater and preventive archaeology. They will plan, direct and test activities of excavation, conservation, restoration and enhancement of the properties.
The 8 paleontologists and 10 expert demoethnoanthropologists will be in charge, respectively, of activities related to the protection and conservation of fossil organic remains and the promotion of demoethnoanthropological cultural heritage, with special attention to the issues of multiethnic and multicultural societies.
To be eligible for selection for the 518 positions at the Ministry of Culture, the following requirements are necessary: Citizenship of Italy or a member state of the European Union; Age not less than 18 years; Specific educational qualification for each professional profile indicated; Physical fitness the performance of duties; Enjoyment of civil and political rights; Not having been excluded from the active political electorate; Not having been dismissed or discharged from employment in the public administration.
The selection will consist of a written test, an oral test, and evaluation of qualifications.

The online registration, filling in and submission of the application must be completed within the period of thirty days starting from the day following the day of publication of this notice in the Official Gazette. Any communication regarding the competition, including the schedule of the written test, oral test and their outcomes, shall be made through the inPA Portal.
