The MAR - Art Museum of the City of Ravenna is looking for a graduate student to be assigned to a highly specialized position for the management of the museum. The appointee, who will be classified as a management instructor, will be responsible for supporting the museum director in the coordination and management of the MAR: in particular, he or she will be responsible for preserving, promoting and communicating museum and cultural heritage for the effective enjoyment and enhancement of the heritage, and for managing and promoting artistic and cultural assets and events from a cultural marketing perspective, overseeing activities such as concretizing the ideas and directions of the directorate into heritage enhancement projects, preparing cultural projects, planning preventive maintenance and conservation of cultural assets for the purpose of their enhancement, and organizing the study and publication of data and materials related to cultural heritage. Still, the new management instructor will have to manage heritage and communication in order to expand enjoyment and accessibility, organize working groups and expert research for the organization of cultural activities and events, research and find funding for the implementation of projects, study cultural demand and develop strategies to attract audiences, evaluate the impact of the activity on the public, promote audience studies, and evaluate the gap between the service provided and how it is perceived.

Applicants are required to have management skills in coordinating human resources and work procedures, project knowledge and skills, the ability to work with a large degree of autonomy, high knowledge of regulations affecting cultural heritage and museums, knowledge of cultural management, and knowledge of bidding and public procurement procedures. The position is for a fixed term and will last as long as the elective term of the current mayor of Ravenna, that is, no later than June 30, 2021. The salary is 24,602.86 euros gross per year.
