Higher Institute for Conservation and Restoration's call for applications to become restorers published


The 70th call for applications to enter the School of Higher Education of theIstituto Superiore per la Conservazione e il Restauro is now online: the competition, by exams, is announced by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and will eventually admit twenty-five students who will become professional restorers. The deadline is for July 15, 2019.

Of the twenty-five places put up for competition, ten are for stone and decorated surfaces of architecture (in Rome), ten for canvases and panels (in Matera), and five for archaeological sector, metals and alloys, and ceramics (in Rome). The competition has no age limit and includes an Italian test for foreign students only, a graphics test, an aptitude test of a practical-perceptual nature, and an oral test. The bibliography useful for the oral test will be published later, and in any case no later than the 30th day after the deadline of the announcement.
